I love elephants! I am coming to Thailand in May/June,2013 and will be in Chaing Mai from June 5-15. I would love to volunteer for one week at the Thai Elephant Conservation Center. My husband is not as keen as I but he is interested in volunteering for a shorter time. Is this possible? I know elephants are very social and bonding with humans takes longer than either of have time for, but can we do such short stints?

Over ten years ago TECC did not accept the volunteer work at all.. There might be a chance at the elephant hospital, but vet qualification is required over there.. If you are not sure about this, please send your requirement to info@thailandelephant.org
