Just added a picture of Prathida from this morning..

I have to confess that every time I get close to Prathida My heart is melted by her, I could feel that she likes me and I do believe that she could feel that I love her too and there are so many people who had been with her feel like me..

I took this picture this morning while my old friend who have been visiting and joining our mahout course over 10 times so far and she has Prathida as her elephant… In this picture Prathida was using the wooden stick to scratch her cheek as itchy..

Supat I truely understand what you feel about Prathida melting your heart. She has this effect on me when I’m with her in person or viewing your photos and even when I’m telling people about the beautiful elephant named Prathida.

This is great photo of her , she looks like she is looking straight into your camera lense. I’m so happy to see that she is spending more time with the Mahout Training Course. Can you say hello to her from me and tell her I will see her very soon with Sunflower Seeds.

    • Thank Steve for your comments.. I will meet her again this afternoon and then try to capture some great picture while she is in the water with Marie..

      Thank

She is wonderful! But she does not care too much for Wanalee so we keep them apart. Wanalee really loves her but Prathida likes to keep her distance. So Wanalee hangs around with Prachaub. She loves her too. But then Prathida loves Prachaub very much too. Oh my – girls will be girls. Steve, please buy lots of seeds in the night market Chiang Mai – I purchased 10 kilos so they reduced the price to 50 baht instead of 80. Told them they were for the elephants.

      • Yes I am agreed with you about Prathida and Wanalee.. Prathida she does not care about Wanalee she love to be with Prachuab.. Once Prathida used to beat Wanalee in the river as she run around Prathida and block her from going out the bathing pond.. But that’s not big incident.. :P Now Wanalee she sticks with Prachaub, but once in the past Prachaub used to kick Wanalee as well..

poor Wanalee. She just wanted to play. But now it looks like Prachaub is friends with her. And now Prathida is doing taxi so she is kept on other side of compound. But Wanalee is very loving I have never seen her be nasty. One day Prachaub trumpeted when the corn truck came and she was tied up, Wanalee right away ran to her (with me on her) to see what was wrong. she was very concerned for her. When Wanalee got to her Prachaub was ok and stopped trumpeting.

Yes, I had a chance earlier this year to spend some time with Prathida. She was so gentle with me, and John made me laugh! Between them both, I was very well cared for.

    • Thank Lorin for your comments.. I had very good time in the past when I worked as the coordinator of the mahout course, I remember I walk with them up and down the hill every day and sometime I walked over 10 Km to the forest to send the elephant and search for the good location for them to eat.. I just loved my job any way..
