This picture was taken at the Mahout Training School while Prathida was upsetting as her most beloved mahout John was riding on the hay elephant used for dart test.. Prathida is very protective elephant, she really loves her mahout as John usually played with her since she was born and John is the mahout of her mother..

Thank you Supat for posting photos of my beloved elephant Prathida and John. I had an awesome time with both of them a few weeks back. Joining Prathida and John for my 5th visit to TECC was a magical 4 days. I loved the time shopping with Prathida in the forest, she loves bamboo and just roaming in the forest and just eating. Lots of memories for me and it was awesome to be with you and your family again. Thank you again my friend!!!
Steve
Thank Steve,.. Today it ‘s her birth day… I wish that I have enough money today so that I could buy some banana for her.. I wish her happy birthday and give us the baby elephant soon..

Prathida and John look so cute posing for the photographs together. How is the hay elephant used (what is the dart test)?

HI Lorin and Robin,
I have just recently been at TECC and Tiam and Wanalee are doing really well. Wanalee is current to flag raiser at the show ground and the tourists and trainee mahout love her just like you do.
Steve
Thanks a lot, Steve. I really appreciate the update. Sounds like you had a great visit there once again. I will be returning as well in just a few months. Can’t wait! Wow wow wow!
Thanks Steve, Health concerns, distance and funds stop me from making the trip myself. I have beautiful paintings from Jojo, Kaew and Wanalee – and I yearn to meet them. Maybe someday. In the meantime, I love to see them on this site. I am envious of you and Lorin. So happy you can get there so often.
Hi Supat,
Who is the mother of Prathida that John was mahout of? Also I would like to make my reservations for May/June, do I do this with you or do I go to the TECC website?
can’t wait to see you! I will also go to Lampang and then to Phitsanaluk to make arrangements for following year living arrangements in thailand, will stay for six months at that time, perhaps longer.
HI Karen,
Prathida mother is Yom and John was her mahout until Prathida got into his heart. Yom is a beautiful natured elephant. I believe that she has had 6 calves. We met up with Yom on my last first and it is just magical to witness the interaction between mother and daughter.
